Welcome back to Podvocacy.

This week, we’re back talking about tv shows. But first, Jason finished up podcasting about the second season of Voltron: Legendary Defender on Paladins of Voltron, so look for those episodes in the coming weeks. David went and saw the film Gifted starring Chris Evans. (Sidebar: Jason is still very proud of the Elephant Seal rating system.) Also, we talked about the Thor: Ragnarok teaser trailer.

In TV Talk, we talk about the return of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. HYDRA, which features the team trying to deal with being stuck in the Framework with only Daisy and Jemma knowledgeable about its existence. Also…Grant Ward is back.

On Powerless we discovered that we watched two separate episodes…so have fun with that.

In a shortened Wrestling with Wrestling segment, David discusses some recent happenings both in and out of the ring. Some of it is downright depressing and not a lot of fun to talk about…which is why it’s shortened.

Have a great week!

  • – as good as the Thor trailer was, my favorite part of it was the font used. Really
    – This podcast is ever a reminder that global warming is not a thing
    – Advance screenings and for FREE? What is going on out in Colorado?
    – That HYDRA aren’t Nazis thing has permiated into the TV shows? ugh…even it’s a shot
    – Did I just hear David say the audience of Agents of SHIELD are dumb?
    – Not sure what list Jason read, only one little Prodder has Dark Tower on his list
    – Very eager to hear your reaction this THIS week’s Roman segment

  • Dude, right there with ya on the font in the trailer. Amazing. And I swear I saw the Dark Tower a couple times. But you actually listen so you would know WAY better than me 🙂

  • The formatting of the Prod Prod site is suspect, easy mistake to make. And Asa LOVED the trailer, even before Hulk showed up. Problem is, he thinks this movie is in theaters today.

  • – The font is very cool. I’m with you and Jason on that.
    – I have no idea what to make of climate change…I’m too dumb.
    – All of the advance screenings that I’ve been to are free. I’m hoping there will be one for Guardians, but am afraid it will happen while I’m in New York. I could’ve seen a free screening of the new Transformers last week…but, you know.
    – It was played as if Coulson had had a few sips of the Hydra Kool-Aid. I get that with all the comic backlash lately, it could be a little cringe worthy.
    – I heard something about an ambulance. I’m going to try and watch it after lunch, so we’ll see how it goes.

  • They’d need to pay me to watch a Transformers movie at this point. Maybe if I didn’t have to pay attention, I can use it to nap on a hot day.

  • You get that good movie theater air conditioning.

  • Also, I just realized that I missed the comment about the audience. I won’t say that the Agents of SHIELD audience is dumb, I will instead fully quote Agent K:

“A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you’ll know tomorrow.”

  • This seems like a shot at Michael Bay

  • It’s not not a shot at Michael Bay.
