Welcome back to Podvocacy!

On this week’s show, Michael Bay is running wild. In addition to the Summer of Shame, which saw David watch Bay’s 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, we’re also talking about Transformers. David watched Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction last week…what did he think? Also, Jason went and saw the newest movie, The Last Knight. Did he like it?

In TV Talk, we focus on the Better Call Saul season three finale. How about that ending, eh, guys?

For Summer of Shame, David talks about the aforementioned 13 Hours, and Jason watched the original The Karate Kid starring Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita.

Thanks for listening!

  • – Booo, don’t give in to Wacky Racers (aka Rocket League!) I actually bought stuff off the Steam sale as well, the new Shovel Knight!
    – The excitement in Jason’s voice when saying he went to see Transformers 5…the best of the franchise, but only his second favorite
    – The only thing better than prequel is a reboot
    – I know literally nothing about Baby Driver, so I’m glad to hear it’s so good
    – Akira, Tetsuo, yer mom, Jason knows all the names
    – I didn’t watch Preacher yet either. Maybe I will when CM Punk wins an MMA match
    – Can’t begrudge Jason for not liking the Karate Kim, I’m almost certain most movies from 1984 to 1990 don’t hold up under 2017 scrutiny
    – That said, you do make excuses for the terrible TF films, but punch holes in poor Karate Kid right out of the gate
    – I do take great umbrage with your saying Kreese is a big douche bag
    – David, are YOU insinuating YOU were the Karate Kid?
    – I say Jason HAS TO see Karate Kid 2!
    – “You’ve got nothing to worry about, I’m gonna love this!” famous last words
    – I’m afraid of Todd’s notes
    – Aw man, no more rasslin? Bummer!

  • – I think Rocket League looks like fun. Although…I’ve never played it, because the only thing I seem to play anymore is NBA 2K17.
    – There’s just no accounting for taste.
    – *grumble grumble*
    – I saw commercials for it about a month ago, and my ears perked up. I love heist films. I love Edgar Wright. Throw in a great soundtrack, and the rest is gravy
    – He’s becoming a regular otaku.
    – I watched it Tuesday morning, and…well…we’ll get to it on, you know, this week’s episode.
    – Especially for the first time. He didn’t have a nostalgia cloud that affected the way he saw it.
    – He is. He’s a huge douche bag.
    – No. We had a bully problem when my oldest was younger, and the authorities didn’t do anything. Although, then Jason tried to put me in the film.
    – That’s 3 votes, I think.
    – Right?
    – I enjoyed After Dark this week.
    – I’m sure it will come back at some point. I’ve just gone from “I can’t wait to watch wrestling” to “I’ve got about three other things I’d rather watch.”
