Welcome back to this week’s episode of Podvocacy!

On this week’s show, Jason talks about the journey that he’s started for National Podcast Month. If you haven’t listened to The Kirk Cast yet, you should. He also talks about his experience at his brother’s wedding. David talks about going to see Thor: Ragnarok, and the trailers that were packaged with the newest MCU film.

In TV Talk, we talk about the most recent episode of The Gifted, which sees the Strucker family reunited, separated, and then reunited again. Let’s all hear it for rib shaped pork patties!

In Wrestling with Wrestling, David talks about some surprising developments that happened recently, both involving WWE stars appearing outside the bubble. Strange times, indeed.

Thanks for listening, and have a great week!

(No time codes this week. Only one show to talk about and you’ll want to listen to ALL of this one. And yes, David does say the wrong episode number in the show. It happens.)

  • – two Transmissions, three Kirk Casts, one for the singing telegram, two for the chandellier
    – I was too busy yesterday to give Jason the cure for his small talk issue, David did a good job of reminding me
    – This rolling the clocks back over the weekend has messed up the sleep schedule of my whole house
    – Ugh, THAT PERSON calling HIMSELF that FAKE WORD goes down in podstory as the douchiest sound clip ever. Take a bow
    – That’s twice you’ve said wall fly, Jason, do you mean wall FLOWER?
    – hashtag screw iTunes
    – I know you tweeted a correction, David, but saying four (Dream Master) wasn’t good…SHAME!
    – re: that Downsized movie, I’m out at Kristen Wiig
    – Don’t attribute bing searches to anyone other than me and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man
    – The Tumblr/website is gonna be a bit messy this month
    – Rando is the name we give the dummy hand played in Cards Against Humanity
    – According to Meltzer, Jericho’s current WWE contract was up this past August. And would know since Jericho is his top stooge
    – I thought your top wrestling news story was gonna be about Brother Love
    – re: that Mark Henry clip – THAT PERSON’s sidekick sounds really excited to be there!

  • – “That’s not six.”
    – What’s the cure?
    – Luckily, I seem to be the only one affected.
    – Has-been VJ.
    – I assumed this was a western PA/Ohio thing.
    – Amen.
    – I probably should sit down and re-watch all of them at some point. Maybe I was thinking of five. That’s the Dream Child, right? That’s the one where Freddy skateboards?
    – That is completely fair. She didn’t ruin Mike Judge’s “Extract” for me, so I think I can take her in small doses/supporting roles, which I think is what she has here.
    – “Bing it on.”
    – Not since Zack Ryder’s YouTube show has someone worked as hard to get himself over as Jason is this month.
    – From board/card game websites, this seems fairly common.
    – I really had no idea. That’s an interesting piece of information.
    – I’m not talking about that story, because I’m probably on the minority side of it.
    – There are times when I wish we had video…this was one of them.

  • – What’s the cure?

His son. Any weird, out of context, uncomfortable question can be deflected to talk about Grayson

    – I probably should sit down and re-watch all of them at some point. Maybe I was thinking of five. That’s the Dream Child, right? That’s the one where Freddy skateboards?

That is for true, not as bad as Freddy using the ‘Power Glove’ to kill Breckin Meyer in part 6 (Freddy’s Dead)

    – Not since Zack Ryder’s YouTube show has someone worked as hard to get himself over as Jason is this month.

And I’m sure it’ll work out the same way for Jason as it did for ol’ Long Island Iced Z

    – I’m not talking about that story, because I’m probably on the minority side of it.

Yeah, I saw some weird Barry Manilow tweets from you about Brother Love? Honestly, not as big a music/Manilow guy as you seem to be, but I thought it was all in good fun

  • Look…I love Barry Manilow…but my tweets were not about Barry Manilow.

They were about Neil Diamond, who, in 1969, released a song called “Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show”. Bruce Prichard and the WWF stole the idea of a “Brother Love” from Neil Diamond just as much as Diddy stole it from Prichard.

If we’re going to talk gimmick infringement, then let’s talk about it…that’s all I’m sayin’.

  • Now would be a great time for Neil Diamond to call up his high priced lawyers, strike while the iron is hot!
